'This is my country too' - Wed, 17 Jul 2013 "This is my country too. Why am I not entitled to live happy and safe? Why can’t we live in peace?," a frustrated Durban homeowner said after being the victim of another home invasion.
Cathy and David Raysdors of Inchanga have had enough after a man tried to attack David with an electric saw. The 60-year-old Inchanga resident had been working on the outside plumbing when the attack occured.
"I saw a guy stretching his hand towards my tool box and when he saw me he picked up a circular saw and ran towards me," David told the Daily News.
The attacker swung the saw at David but dropped it as it was too heavy. In the ensuing struggle the attacker then tried to call out to an accomplice.
"I loosened my grip to check for the other guy and he pushed up and ran away," he said.
David's wife 53-year-old Cathy said that as she was calling the police, she saw the attacker and his accomplice walking to the station.
"As I was phoning the police and SA CAN (a community action network), I saw them casually walking on the railway, looking back every now and then. I said to my husband, ‘I am going to catch this bas***d’," she said.
The couple followed the attackers to the station and confronted them there.
"As I walked up to them, the guy saw my husband behind me and said, 'It wasn’t me', before I even said anything, then took off running."
"He looked surprised, but I am beyond scared," Cathy told the Daily News.
By this time the police had arrived and arrested the attacker.
"I was so angry I slapped him, right there in the van. I’m actually in a very bad place at the moment. I’m not scared of them anymore. I’m not going to allow them to rule my life anymore."
"The only way out is to take him (the perpetrator) out," said Cathy. "This is my country too. Why am I not entitled to live happy and safe? Why can’t we live in peace?"
Police have confirmed that the attacker was arrested.

PRETORIA - Physically challenged motorist Dane Wilson has lodged a complaint with the Human Rights Commission after being ridiculed and loudly, publicly humiliated by a government employee at the Waltloo Testing Station in Pretoria.
Dane Wilson -- who was born without his left hand tried to renew his driving license a week ago, but said he left the facility after being mocked and ridiculed publicly by a rude female official.
He said the rude female testing station employee said he needed "medical certificates to prove he could drive. " Wilson said he felt embarrassed and asked the woman if they could speak somewhere private like in a cubicle, but the humiliation didn't stop.
“She then decided to take her left arm and bend her hand to her shoulder and wiggled it around mockingly to ask how I change gears with no left hand." Wilson said he obtained his driving license without restriction and has renewed it three times in the 12 years he has been driving.
“I lead a perfectly able lifestyle and I don’t have prosthetics to aid my living because I have adapted since birth.” The Pretoria Municipality’s Selby Bokaba has" apologised and said an investigation into the incident has begun."
He said Wilson will be updated on the progress. Bokaba added that the head of the facility "will invite Wilson for a cup of coffee to discuss the incident. "
(Nothing was said about whether he would still be needing a medical certificate to renew his driver's license in this article however.)

Elderly, frail (80) year old Afrikaner waits nearly two weeks for ambulance, Krugersdorp (ANC-name: Mogale City), in South Africa.
After falling and apparently fracturing his hip, Frederick Botha suffered for two weeks in considerable pain while waiting for the only working ambulance to fetch and take him to hospital for treatment.
The only working ambulance, serves 300 000 residents, according to the paper. "Refentse Mangope, spokesman for West Rand district municipality, said they "had" (sic) noted the challenges that ambulance operators and emergency medical services personnel encountered during calls"

Note how he makes mention of the complaints of the call operators -- but not the complaints from the patients suffering as a result of the incompetence of his municipality?"

Julie Cruse, 72, tied up, tortured with hot iron all over her body, slowly strangled to death: Middelburg.
There was nothing 'ordinary' about the horrific way in which 72-year-old Mrs Julie Cruse of Pullen's Hope Middelburg was murdered.
She first was trussed up like a pig, then she was tortured for hours with hot irons all over her body. And then she was slowly strangled to death. The ferocity of the murder indicates that this was a hatecrime - somebody who hated this woman so much that she was very slowly and painfully tortured to death.
The maid of Mrs Julie Cruse 72 reportedly was very badly traumatised when she discovered her employer's tortured, mutilated body in her home in Pullens Hope, Middelburg.
She was tortured with a hot iron and also with a bread-toaster. One can only imagine the pain she must have endured.
Yet a year later, her killers are still at large. Her exhusband Ron Cruse said four months ago that the information which was supplied to the then-investigating officer was not even followed up opn.
He had enquired at two police stations - in Hendrina and Middelburg, but 'could never get any answers', he told the Middelburg Observer's Daleen Naude.
On 2 June 2012, the maid of Mrs Julie Cruse 72 was very badly traumatised when she discovered her employer's tortured, mutilated body in her home in Pullens Hope, Middelburg.
And a year later, her killers are still at large. A new investigation officer Lt Salmon Shabangu, was appointed to handle the case, said Hendrina SAPS spokesman David Mbenekazi.
The Middelburg Observer's Daleen Naude writes that the murder-victim's maid Maria Magola found her employers' badly mutilated body.
At the post-mortem examination it was discovered that a kitchen-cloth had also been pushed down her gullet, and that she had numerous burn-marks from hot-irons all over her body. A bloodied cloth was wrapped around her neck and the post-mortem showed that she had died of suffocation.
The couple's children wanted to appoint a private investigator to try and find the murderers - but, said Mr Cruse, it's the police who have to do the job they were being paid for. A spokesman for the Hendrina SAPS, David Mbenekazi, said the case has now been handed over to Lt Salmon Shabangu. He confirmed that nobody was arrested and that they were 'looking for urgent leads'.

Hy het verskeie kere by die polisie op Hendrina en Middelburg gaan aanklop, maar kon nooit antwoorde kry nie. Die egpaar se kinders wou al ’n privaatspeurder aanstel om die saak te ondersoek, maar mnr. Cruse was van mening dat die “polisie net hul werk moet doen.”

Afrikaner children in Alexander Bay, NC: targets of hatespeech by govt Education Dept official: and pupils assaulted by groups of black racist males
On July 16 2013 the small group of Afrikaner children in Grade Ten of the Afrikaans-language Alexander Bay High School in Northern Namaqualand -- in the tiny diamond-mining town of Alexander Bay (population 1,492 in 2001)were targeted with hate speech in front of the entire classroom by a black male official who was visiting and inspecting the school on behalf of the Education Department.

It was reported by Hannes Engelbrecht of the Boere Krisis Aksie that at the Afrikaans-language High School of Alexander Bay, North Cape, a visiting black ANC-official from the Department of Education greatly upset the small group of white children in Grade Ten, who walked out in disgust on July 16 2013 when he targeted them with racist hate-speech. Engelbrecht writes on BKA: "The 'gentleman' was addressing Grade Ten - but now the children fear victimization and 'cannot remember' the 'gentleman s' name. The man said to them in front of the entire class that the 'Whites Are Responsible for Poor Education and Poor Living Conditions' in South Africa today. So the small number of Afrikaner children - who are far in the minority to the coloured- and black children at the school - walked from the classroom in disgust because of the gentleman's racist comments. It was also reported by Boere Krisis Aksie's Hannes Engelbrecht on July 18 2013 that 'several other incidents have already occurred in town in which "a group of barbarians assaulted white pupils."
He added: "By 'gentleman' I am not referring to the teacher".

It is located on the southern bank of the Orange River mouth. It was named for Sir James Alexander, who was the first person to map the area whilst on a Royal Geographical Society expedition into Namibia in 1836. (It is mistakenly believed by many locals that it was he who first established commercial copper mining in the area.) With diamonds being discovered along the West Coast in 1925, Alexander Bay was established to service the mining industry. The town of Oranjemund opposite: on the northern bank of the river, which forms the international border with Namibia.
The two towns are linked by the Harry Oppenheimer Bridge. The town is served by Alexander Bay Airport. After diamonds were discovered along this coast in 1925 by Dr Hans Merensky, Alexander Bay became known for its mining activities. The resulting 'diamond rush' even led to the "Diamond Coast rebellion of 1928".

It is no longer a high security area and no permits are needed.Alexander Bay is the most northerly situated town along the west coastline of South Africa. Thursday, July 18 2013 - Dr Dan Roodt of the Pro-Afrikaans Action group has slammed the Mail and Guardian newspaper in South Africa for providing a public platform to its writer Sarah Britten to 'justify her own participation in the incitement of white genocide' in the social media'.

He compares this with the action taken against Max Barashenkov and Montle Moorosi of the 'man's magazine' FHM, who were suspended by editor Brendan Cooper after 'joking on their facebook pages about corrective rape of lesbians'.
FHM editor Brendan Cooper said they are 'shocked about the exceedingly offensive remarks by two workers on their private facebook profiles.
The remarks were placed by article-editor Max Barashenkov and editorial assistant Montle Moorosi - two weeks after the corrective gang-rape and murder of a lesbian woman in Thokoza, Duduzile Zozo.
Meanwhile the Mail and Guardian's writer Sarah Britten said the 'jokes about the white genocide in South Africa are not problematic - they are clearly just jokes', writing:
"So today, I am going to explain why I thought it was appropriate to tweet about #whitegenocide a few weeks ago — but why I thought the jokes about corrective rape by two FHM writers weren't funny, and got them into trouble for good reason.
"First, a bit of background. The #whitegenocide hashtag came about after Siyanda Mohutsiwa started tweeting about what she planned to do when blacks rose up against the whites after the death of Nelson Mandela.
Here's a good example: Attention black SA: this is a time to get a driver's license. Don't worry. After #whitegenocide you can have any car you want. [Siyanda-Panda from: SiyandaWrites]
"It was provocative and subversive. I felt somewhat disconcerted. What did I do? I joined in."
Here's why:
"1. The hashtag was clearly tongue in cheek, and it was being used by a self-described agent provocateur who has a track record of challenging preconceived ideas, both in her Thought Leader blog and on Twitter.
"2. The mockery was not of actual murder (which is not funny), but the long-standing conspiracy theory that blacks would rise up against whites the moment Madiba dies. This is a ridiculous and stupid belief no matter how sincerely you hold it, and mocking it is a way of marking a distinction between what we accept as a commonly held belief, and what we do not.
"3. I felt that the conspiracy theory was in itself offensively racist, so should be mocked in order to make my views on it clear. Addressing fears that many might feel afraid to express was a way to bring them into the open into a way that was healthier than discussing them around the braai.
"4. If whites did not join in, then it would become and us vs them situation. Whites attend the Blacks Only comedy shows and laugh at David Kau's jokes, so why shouldn't they participate in a hashtag that mocks them?
"5. Genocide, used in its correct historical context (as in the Holocaust, Armenia and Rwanda) is not funny at all. But claims of genocide where they are not justified debase the term and the gravity of what it means. The former secretary-general of Medecins Sans Frontieres, Alain Destexhe, has said that the word genocide has fallen victim to "a sort of verbal inflation, in much the same way as happened with the word fascist".
"Most of those who participated used the opportunity to demonstrate how completely unfounded fears of a "white genocide" are."... END QUOTE
Dr Dan Roodt of PRAAG, the pro-Afrikaans Action Group, writes: "the Mail and Guardian thus has offered Ms Britten the opportunity to justify the genocide - after she herself had participated actively in the incitement of the genocide'.

The working-class smallholders experience a 'drastic increase in violent house robberies,' said the Community Policing Forum-chairman Duan Engelbrecht.

Mrs Alta Potgieter told Die Rekord that her husband Rudolph and son Colin were shot Monday 19h00 by two gunmen just outside their smallholding during a violent confrontation. The black gunmen ambushed and tied up the Afrikaner men - however Rudolph, fearing for the lives of his family, managed to get lose of his bonds and tried to push the gunmen away. Rudolph was then shot twice at point blank range: once in his left ear and once in his chest. Her son Rual then rushed to their -- (by law required to be locked up) gun from the gunsafe, rushed back and fired towards the gunmen - at which point they fired back, injuring the oldest son Colin in the chest. The two men now are at the academic hospital in Pretoria and after a week now are 'out of danger'
"My husband is in terrible pain and his eardrum has burnt but he can already get up and speak to me. My son has to get more scans before the doctors decide how to remove the bullet, which was lodged in his back'. "He's walking with difficulty because of the bullet.' Meanwhile Alta is terrified of remaining at the smallholding.
"We are too terrified to go outside, we cannot live normal lives, there have been so many armed attacks against the smallholdings.' SAPS warrant officer Mathews Nkoadi said nobody was arrested.

Man and dog survive violent robbery:
A 48-year old man and his dog allegedly sustained critical injuries during a shooting near Bon Accord on Friday.
Constable Singo from the SAPS confirmed that a house robbery on Haakdoringboom Road allegedly turned violent when the home owner tried to fight off the perpetrators.
The victim was allegedly shot in the back. According to the police, the home owner's dog was also shot in the leg and sustained critical injuries.
Singo said that three armed suspects fled the scene with various workshop tools and a bicycle. No arrests have been made.
"A case of house robbery and attempted murder has been opened and the police will continue with the investigation, " said Singo.
Santi Steinmann from Netcare confirmed that their helicopter was activated to airlift the man to a nearby medical facility.
The police also confirmed that the dog was rushed to a hospital in Onderstepoort.

The Times writes: "The allocation of houses to white squatters in (Elandspoort) Bethlehem, Pretoria West, was fast-tracked to enable President Jacob Zuma to keep his promise to them - but it has enraged black squatters who have been living nearby for years. Zuma hands over the keys to 110 government houses in Elandspoort to Afrikaner squatters.
And the black squatters want to know why their white counterparts got their houses within six months whereas they have been waiting for their houses for years.
The Bethlehem squatters did not have to apply for the houses at the local housing office - their application forms were brought to them, and later collected, by Gauteng housing officials.
"Zuma must come here. He must see for himself the conditions we are living in and then tell us how come we have been on the housing waiting list for over 11 years when some people can get their houses within months," Sheila Moyo said.
Unemployed Moyo, 50, has been squatting with about 200 others at the informal settlement about 5km from Bethlehem for the past seven years.
She and others moved to the area in June 2008 after their shacks were destroyed by fire.
Zuma visited the Bethlehem community in July 2008 and in March 2010, when he promised to help resolve the squatters' plight.
Bethlehem spokesman Leoné Hine said the Gauteng housing department officials delivered the application forms in January .
"We all completed the forms ... then called them to come and collect them. They came back after two weeks to sort out missing documents. Then they came back and said you are going to be allocated houses within a month," she said.
The families started moving into the new two-bedroom houses in May.Their neighbours in the Atteridgeville informal settlements have been on the waiting list for years.
Simon Pitie, 64, applied for his house in 2000 butreceived his keys in the same month as the Bethlehem squatters, who had applied only in January.
Deputy chief of Solidarity Helping Hand Christine Breet accused Zuma of trying to win votes for next year's general election.
Zuma spokesman Mac Maharaj could not be reached for comment.

"On 12th July at about 10am, my 82-year-old mother was attacked by an intruder at her home in 6th street Parkhurst.
She was beaten to an inch of her life and left bleeding while the intruder ransacked the house. Were it not for the quick thinking petrol pump attendants at the Shell Garage who noticed the intruder entering the premises and then the curtains constantly moving, my mother would have lost her life.
I wish to thank Ros of the Parkhurst garage and Nicky of Alphabet Soup, who were absolutely amazing in keeping my mother alive until the arrival of the paramedics. The businessman, an Italian citizen, writes: ""I ,xxxxxxx hereby declare under oath and in English that the following statement I am about to make is as result of the what transpired last night the 15 July 2013 at 17h45 until 20h30. I write this statement as I am afraid of the consequences of my action and fear retaliation from the South African Police Services.
Last night at approximately 17h30 to 17h45 my staff and I were driving home in a convoy of 3 vehicles as we normally do. I left the convoy on XXXX Street to fill up at the service station. Unaware that the other two vehicles had been stopped by an unmarked police vehicle with two police officers inside.
I arrived home before my staff and became concerned that the other two vehicles had not arrived before me. I phoned the one driver and he informed me of the situation, he said that two of my staff members had been arrested and put into this unmarked vehicle. He also informed me that the two officers suspected that I was Chinese and that they wanted to speak to me directly. He informed that the officers had now instructed the two vehicles to proceed to my home were they could speak to me.
I waited for the vehicles to arrive, and made a note of the registration of the white Ford ST’S registration. The number being BRW 348 B, I immediately recognised this plate of that belonging to the S.A.P.S. and exited from my vehicle to speak to the officers.
The driver of the vehicle dressed in full Police uniform and a black beret exited the vehicle and began questioning me on weather I owned the vehicles or if I had hired them. I informed him that I owned the vehicles to which he replied “well then you making too much money”
He proceeded to tell me that I was in contravention of an act of parliament and that he was going to arrest all my staff. Exactly what we have done wrong I still can’t tell you. The officer would not clarify what he was arresting us for. His only reply was that he was going to prove us wrong and that we thought that we were clever.
Both officers then began harassing my staff, threatening to “clap” them if they got clever. Two of my staff members were detained in their vehicle for not having identification, my two drivers were questioned for their licences and then told they were fake, then were threatened with arrest if they opened their mouths. The other three occupants in my vehicle (all staff members) were then questioned and told their passports and work permits were invalid.
My staff member that was sitting in their vehicle got out and offered to produce the documentation they requested and he was threatened again with his life if he got out of the vehicle. At that point my wife came out of the house and was witness to the events that happened from that point on.
I tried to speak calmly and listened intently to what they were saying and tried were possible to assist the officers in requesting documentation from my staff. The officers became very agitated and said that the two members in his vehicle were now his property and he could do with them what he liked. I requested both officers to produce their police identification as both did not wear any name badges. This request was turned down, with the explanation being that I did not have any right to request such information.
I then requested that another police officer should be present to witness what was transpiring, and offered to call either the Yeoville or Cleveland Police station. I was told that there was no other person on duty and that they were the law. My staff was according to them illegal immigrants, I had broken some act of parliament and that was that. I told them that I was Italian and who was to say that I too was not an illegal immigrant, why not request my identification, the reply was because we don’t care and don’t tell me what to do. Racist was one term that they called me, but I thought better then act on such stupid comments.
Both officers then climbed into their vehicle, my one staff member refused to go with them and produced the necessary documentation for them to view. They told him to get out or get “fucked up”. I intervened and requested they tell me where they were going with my member of staff. The reply” Pretoria central prison” At that point both officers turned on me threatening me with assault and telling all my staff that they were going to teach me a lesson.
The car sped off and followed the vehicle, trying to ensure the safety of my employee who was still in the vehicle. The vehicle headed into the direction of Eastgate and once on Marcia road made a uturn and proceeded into Yeoville. At this point I phoned 10111 and requested assistance from the operator, the operator told me she did not know what to do and said I should hold for her superior.
A couple of minutes later whilst still following the vehicle I spoke to a Sargent who said I should rather go into Yeoville and inform the Police, open a charge were his exact words. Now please spot the mistake……..go to the police to report on the police. Something is wrong with this scenario I thought to myself. I continued to follow the vehicle which was making its way through Yeoville at this point.
I phoned 702 and a lady gave me the number of the news room, I phoned them. I spoke to lady by the name of Thando who listened to me and said she would phone me back with some information.
After proceeding down Rockey Street the vehicle came to a stop at the corner of Joe Slovo drive. Immediately another vehicle stopped behind me, a VW Caravelle black in colour registration BSP 413 B, the occupants came out of the car but never approached my vehicle. I began to feel very intimidated, and phoned Thando back at the Eye Witness News desk hoping she would be able to keep me on the line while we were stationery. I also felt that I needed to tell someone were I was as I was unable to contact my wife. At this point the driver of the white Ford opened my passenger door and got into my car.
He wanted to arrest the other occupants of my vehicle which I had already told to get out of the car as I was speeding trying to keep up with the Ford. The other officer then told me that I was under arrest for aiding a criminal to escape and we were to go to Pretoria central. His colleague sitting in my passenger seat then asked me how we were going to sort this issue out. I told him I was not interested in sorting anything out but rather wanted to go to the Police station to be arrested by other officers. At this point unknown to the officer I had Thando listening in to the conversation, the officer requested money and I refused. He then realized that my phone was busy with a call as I held it in my hand in front of my mouth. The officer got even more agitated and tried to slap me with his Samsung Ipad. I said to him “give me the address of the Pretoria central Police station” and that I would meet him there. His response was, “ask the person you have on the phone to give you instruction”
He then told me it would be better I “fucked off quickly before my friends teach you a lesson”
And also said that “I Should shut the fuck up or there would be consequences”
I felt very intimidated and although was concerned about my staff member still in the back of their vehicle thought it would be better to leave the scene. I phoned Thando back and confirmed with her that she had heard the conversation with me and the officer, which she confirmed. Thando then gave me a telephone number for a lady at Corruption watch called Pippa. I contacted her and explained the situation. Pippa informed me that she did not know what to do and could not refer me to any other person. Later that evening I did receive a sms from her stating that Mr Abrahjee said it would be better to open a case at the nearest police station, which would have been Yeoville.
I immediately went back home to my wife who was beside herself with worry, and with another two staff members went back to Joe Slovo drive to look for the vehicle. My staff members pleaded with me not to go as they repeated to me what the officer had told them that “they were going to fix me”.
I continued to drive up and down Hoe Slovo drive until I received a call from the staff member in the police car informing me that he was kicked out of the car after having been threatened if he did not hand over money. He did not have any money on him and he was kicked out not far from Rockey street. I must add at this point that he is a legal person with all the necessary documentation.
I collected my staff member who was totally beside himself, we then proceeded to the Yeoville police station to open a complaint against the officers. Upon arriving at the station we noticed that the VW Kombi had arrived behind us, my staff refused to exit the car and my wife pleaded that we leave without opening the case. This morning upon leaving my home a white Mercedes Benz C class with no number plates and four occupants were waiting for me outside my home. The occupants all dressed in what seemed to be black clothes. I watched my wife leave home and then went to collect my staff as I usually do. The vehicle followed me to the boom gates were I collect my staff; it slowed down next to me and then sped off.
Three of my staff have not arrived for work today complaining that they are scared to come back, and another two arrived at work today not wearing their branded jackets which I bought for them as they fear that they will be recognised and harassed.
My staff and I were totally shocked by last night’s event and this morning at our daily meeting they requested we lock ourselves in the warehouse. Both myself and my staff fear that this is not the end of the matter and that there will be some sort of retaliation by the officers concerned
I have never in my life felt so hopeless and alone, fear has overwhelmed myself and not to mention my staff. Last night trying to find someone to help me was one of the most terrifying experiences in my life, I would like to ask either the police or Lead SA to intervene on our behalf and maybe even look at setting up some sort of call centre were we can call in and receive assistance from an impartial organisation that can at least assist us during moments of complete and utter hopelessness.
Again, I write this letter in the hope that if something should happen to my staff or myself that this matter will be taken further."

'This is my country too' - Wed, 17 Jul 2013 "This is my country too. Why am I not entitled to live happy and safe? Why can’t we live in peace?," a frustrated Durban homeowner said after being the victim of another home invasion.
Cathy and David Raysdors of Inchanga have had enough after a man tried to attack David with an electric saw. The 60-year-old Inchanga resident had been working on the outside plumbing when the attack occured.
"I saw a guy stretching his hand towards my tool box and when he saw me he picked up a circular saw and ran towards me," David told the Daily News.
The attacker swung the saw at David but dropped it as it was too heavy. In the ensuing struggle the attacker then tried to call out to an accomplice.
"I loosened my grip to check for the other guy and he pushed up and ran away," he said.
David's wife 53-year-old Cathy said that as she was calling the police, she saw the attacker and his accomplice walking to the station.
"As I was phoning the police and SA CAN (a community action network), I saw them casually walking on the railway, looking back every now and then. I said to my husband, ‘I am going to catch this bas***d’," she said.
The couple followed the attackers to the station and confronted them there.
"As I walked up to them, the guy saw my husband behind me and said, 'It wasn’t me', before I even said anything, then took off running."
"He looked surprised, but I am beyond scared," Cathy told the Daily News.
By this time the police had arrived and arrested the attacker.
"I was so angry I slapped him, right there in the van. I’m actually in a very bad place at the moment. I’m not scared of them anymore. I’m not going to allow them to rule my life anymore."
"The only way out is to take him (the perpetrator) out," said Cathy. "This is my country too. Why am I not entitled to live happy and safe? Why can’t we live in peace?"
Police have confirmed that the attacker was arrested.

PRETORIA - Physically challenged motorist Dane Wilson has lodged a complaint with the Human Rights Commission after being ridiculed and loudly, publicly humiliated by a government employee at the Waltloo Testing Station in Pretoria.
Dane Wilson -- who was born without his left hand tried to renew his driving license a week ago, but said he left the facility after being mocked and ridiculed publicly by a rude female official.
He said the rude female testing station employee said he needed "medical certificates to prove he could drive. " Wilson said he felt embarrassed and asked the woman if they could speak somewhere private like in a cubicle, but the humiliation didn't stop.
“She then decided to take her left arm and bend her hand to her shoulder and wiggled it around mockingly to ask how I change gears with no left hand." Wilson said he obtained his driving license without restriction and has renewed it three times in the 12 years he has been driving.
“I lead a perfectly able lifestyle and I don’t have prosthetics to aid my living because I have adapted since birth.” The Pretoria Municipality’s Selby Bokaba has" apologised and said an investigation into the incident has begun."
He said Wilson will be updated on the progress. Bokaba added that the head of the facility "will invite Wilson for a cup of coffee to discuss the incident. "

Caron Whateley was abducted last night: in Westville. Her car: a White Toyota Yaris, ND 623379 was hijacked outside Waxis in Westville. Cash was withdrawn from several cash withdrawal machines in Pinetown. Her house also was broken into and possessions strewn around.
Nathanson writes: "When my phone rang at 10:30pm last night I could not have predicted the night ahead. I received a call from my friend Wayne who told me that he suspected that Caron Whateley had been hijacked and abducted from outside a restaurant in Westville -- as according to Wayne: who had spoken with Caron's landlady, Caron had not returned to her residence from the restaurant.
" Immediately I contacted Caron's boyfriend Dave who was away on business and he confirmed that he had not been able to contact Caron on her mobile post her leaving the restaurant and that money had been withdrawn from his account at an ATM in Pinetown, an ATM which Caron would not have gone to. I raised my staff and headed to the ATM all the while trying to contact Caron but I only managed to get her answering service. I contacted SAPS Canine, SACAN and HERS.
On information received whilst enroute to Pinetown, I directed the SAPS Canine unit to (township) KwaDabeka.
"In less than 1 hour KwaDabeka was crawling with good guys looking for Caron: SAPS, SAPS Canine (South/Pedro), Metro, Metro Canine, Security companies and Kloof Community Policing members.
"Metro guys spotted Caron's vehicle, a white coloured Yaris and gave chase.
Suspects however abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, managing to evade arrest. So with the vehicle was recovered, the search was on for Caron. At 2am I decided to drive to Caron's place of residence in Westville. There we discovered that Caron was not hijacked and kidnapped from outside the restaurant -- but instead (as dictated by the evidence), -- must have walked in on a burglary at her residence from where -- (as dictated by the evidence) -- she had been abducted along with her motor vehicle. We recovered some of Caron's belongings that were strewn around her garden including a guitar which Dave said we would find in the boot of the Yaris. More money was drawn from Dave's account at 03:30am but still no sign of Caron. At6.20am Caron was still missing.
"But she has now been found safe and sound and is in safe custody".

Elderly, frail (80) year old Afrikaner waits nearly two weeks for ambulance, Krugersdorp (ANC-name: Mogale City), in South Africa.
After falling and apparently fracturing his hip, Frederick Botha suffered for two weeks in considerable pain while waiting for the only working ambulance to fetch and take him to hospital for treatment.
The only working ambulance, serves 300 000 residents, according to the paper. "Refentse Mangope, spokesman for West Rand district municipality, said they "had" (sic) noted the challenges that ambulance operators and emergency medical services personnel encountered during calls"

Julie Cruse, 72, tied up, tortured with hot iron all over her body, slowly strangled to death: Middelburg.
There was nothing 'ordinary' about the horrific way in which 72-year-old Mrs Julie Cruse of Pullen's Hope Middelburg was murdered.
She first was trussed up like a pig, then she was tortured for hours with hot irons all over her body. And then she was slowly strangled to death. The ferocity of the murder indicates that this was a hatecrime - somebody who hated this woman so much that she was very slowly and painfully tortured to death.
The maid of Mrs Julie Cruse 72 reportedly was very badly traumatised when she discovered her employer's tortured, mutilated body in her home in Pullens Hope, Middelburg.
She was tortured with a hot iron and also with a bread-toaster. One can only imagine the pain she must have endured.
Yet a year later, her killers are still at large. Her exhusband Ron Cruse said four months ago that the information which was supplied to the then-investigating officer was not even followed up opn.
He had enquired at two police stations - in Hendrina and Middelburg, but 'could never get any answers', he told the Middelburg Observer's Daleen Naude.
On 2 June 2012, the maid of Mrs Julie Cruse 72 was very badly traumatised when she discovered her employer's tortured, mutilated body in her home in Pullens Hope, Middelburg.
And a year later, her killers are still at large. A new investigation officer Lt Salmon Shabangu, was appointed to handle the case, said Hendrina SAPS spokesman David Mbenekazi.
The Middelburg Observer's Daleen Naude writes that the murder-victim's maid Maria Magola found her employers' badly mutilated body.
At the post-mortem examination it was discovered that a kitchen-cloth had also been pushed down her gullet, and that she had numerous burn-marks from hot-irons all over her body. A bloodied cloth was wrapped around her neck and the post-mortem showed that she had died of suffocation.
The couple's children wanted to appoint a private investigator to try and find the murderers - but, said Mr Cruse, it's the police who have to do the job they were being paid for. A spokesman for the Hendrina SAPS, David Mbenekazi, said the case has now been handed over to Lt Salmon Shabangu. He confirmed that nobody was arrested and that they were 'looking for urgent leads'.

Die moordenaars het haar onder andere met ’n strykyster en broodrooster gebrand. Haar hande en voete is agter haar rug met skoenveters vasgemaak en ’n bebloede serp was om haar nek gedraai.
Die lykskouing het gewys dat sy aan versmoring dood is. ’n Kombuislap is in haar mond en keel af forseer.
Haar eksman, mnr. Ron Cruse, het drie maande gelede gekla dat die polisie nie die inligting wat verskaf is, opgevolg het nie. Hy het verskeie kere by die polisie op Hendrina en Middelburg gaan aanklop, maar kon nooit antwoorde kry nie. Die egpaar se kinders wou al ’n privaatspeurder aanstel om die saak te ondersoek, maar mnr. Cruse was van mening dat die “polisie net hul werk moet doen.”
•Verlede week het die woordvoerder van die Hendrina Polisie, David Mbenekazi, gesê dat die saak aan lt. Salmon Shabangu oorhandig is. Hy het bevestig dat daar tot op hede niemand gearresteer is nie en dat daar dringend na nog leidrade en inligting gesoek word.

Friday, 19 Julie 2013: Ninety-year-old Mrs San Hefer discovered the tied up, strangled body of her cousin Judith Christina Müller, 84, in her bedroom. Mrs Hefer van Mrs Muller were neighbours in Chesterton Street, vanderbijlpark. The two cousins visited often, and Mrs Hefer always tested her blood-pressure and blood-sugar levels because she had poor eye-sight. "She'd come over, drink a cup of tea, and then I'd read to her. She always came in the mornings. But when she didn't show up yesterday at 08h30am as usual, I walked to her house next door and found her murdered. The backdoor was ajar. I called out to her but got no reply. When I walked from the kitchen into the hallway, I noticed that the doors of the telephone-cabinet were open. That was strange. And there were two empty clothes-hangers in the hall. She walked into the room and found her cousin on the bed, covered with a duvet and her feet apart. I touched a leg and found it was cold. She often would sleep that way. The duvet was wound around her head very tightly. I plucked the thing off and shouted: "Joekie, Joekie'. But there was something else over her head. I ran after getting the shock of my life,' she said. SAPS warrant-officer Kinnie Steyn said it's suspected that she was strangled to death, but they will have to wait for the post-mortem police-forensic lab's examination to know for certain. "

Afrikaner children in Alexander Bay, NC: targets of hatespeech by govt Education Dept official: and pupils assaulted by groups of black racist males
On July 16 2013 the small group of Afrikaner children in Grade Ten of the Afrikaans-language Alexander Bay High School in Northern Namaqualand -- in the tiny diamond-mining town of Alexander Bay (population 1,492 in 2001)were targeted with hate speech in front of the entire classroom by a black male official who was visiting and inspecting the school on behalf of the Education Department.
It has also been reported that white-Afrikaner children also are being assaulted by groups of adult black-racist males:

It was reported by Hannes Engelbrecht of the Boere Krisis Aksie that at the Afrikaans-language High School of Alexander Bay, North Cape, a visiting black ANC-official from the Department of Education greatly upset the small group of white children in Grade Ten, who walked out in disgust on July 16 2013 when he targeted them with racist hate-speech. Engelbrecht writes on BKA: "The 'gentleman' was addressing Grade Ten - but now the children fear victimization and 'cannot remember' the 'gentleman s' name. The man said to them in front of the entire class that the 'Whites Are Responsible for Poor Education and Poor Living Conditions' in South Africa today. So the small number of Afrikaner children - who are far in the minority to the coloured- and black children at the school - walked from the classroom in disgust because of the gentleman's racist comments. It was also reported by Boere Krisis Aksie's Hannes Engelbrecht on July 18 2013 that 'several other incidents have already occurred in town in which "a group of barbarians assaulted white pupils."
He added: "By 'gentleman' I am not referring to the teacher".

Alexander Bay (Afrikaans: Alexanderbaai) is a tiny desert-town in the extreme north-west of South Africa, also known as the region of Little Namaqualand.

It is located on the southern bank of the Orange River mouth. It was named for Sir James Alexander, who was the first person to map the area whilst on a Royal Geographical Society expedition into Namibia in 1836. (It is mistakenly believed by many locals that it was he who first established commercial copper mining in the area.) With diamonds being discovered along the West Coast in 1925, Alexander Bay was established to service the mining industry. The town of Oranjemund opposite: on the northern bank of the river, which forms the international border with Namibia.
The two towns are linked by the Harry Oppenheimer Bridge. The town is served by Alexander Bay Airport. After diamonds were discovered along this coast in 1925 by Dr Hans Merensky, Alexander Bay became known for its mining activities. The resulting 'diamond rush' even led to the "Diamond Coast rebellion of 1928".
-- Copper ore was shipped through the Richtersveld in barges down the Orange River for export from this bay. The town was a high security area and permits were needed when entered. It is no longer a high security area and no permits are needed.Alexander Bay is the most northerly situated town along the west coastline of South Africa. This entire Orange River wetlands is a declared a RAMSAR site. There are unigue geographic features, for instance fields of green and orange lichen grow on a hill near the turnoff to Alexander Bay town. It is 150 miles (240 km) north-west of Springbok, the administrative centre of Namaqualand. It lays at the very southerly edge of the Namib desert and is officially the driest town in South Africa -- with an average annual rainfall of less than 2 inches (50 mm).

The housekeeper came and asked her 'whether she knew of men who were coming to fix the pipes. They used my dad's name', said Lillian. "The robbers pretended to be workers of a company who were replacing pipes, they were dressed in uniforms and there was a ladder on the Isuzu-bakkie they arrived in'.
"I asked them where the pipes were they were supposed to install. They said 'inside the house'. I opened the door and walked to the cellphone to call my dad when the men attacked us.'
They 'took her throughout the house loooking for jewellery and money, the house was turned upside down and they took three tv-sets. Then they said they were going to rape me.'
One man held a firearm and another one a knife. "I just kept thinking they musn't shoot us. I wanted to live.'
Her father, Jo, confirmed to Beeld that 'his daughter fought fiercely againt being raped.' (that's where the story ends. It's not certain what happened next.)
SAPS warrant-officer Kinnie Steyn put the blame on the 'residents who must be aware of the robbers' latest operating methods'.
"They pretend to be workers'.

Thursday, July 18 2013 - Dr Dan Roodt of the Pro-Afrikaans Action group has slammed the Mail and Guardian newspaper in South Africa for providing a public platform to its writer Sarah Britten to 'justify her own participation in the incitement of white genocide' in the social media'.

He compares this with the action taken against Max Barashenkov and Montle Moorosi of the 'man's magazine' FHM, who were suspended by editor Brendan Cooper after 'joking on their facebook pages about corrective rape of lesbians'.
FHM editor Brendan Cooper said they are 'shocked about the exceedingly offensive remarks by two workers on their private facebook profiles.
The remarks were placed by article-editor Max Barashenkov and editorial assistant Montle Moorosi - two weeks after the corrective gang-rape and murder of a lesbian woman in Thokoza, Duduzile Zozo.
Meanwhile the Mail and Guardian's writer Sarah Britten said the 'jokes about the white genocide in South Africa are not problematic - they are clearly just jokes', writing:
"So today, I am going to explain why I thought it was appropriate to tweet about #whitegenocide a few weeks ago — but why I thought the jokes about corrective rape by two FHM writers weren't funny, and got them into trouble for good reason.
"First, a bit of background. The #whitegenocide hashtag came about after Siyanda Mohutsiwa started tweeting about what she planned to do when blacks rose up against the whites after the death of Nelson Mandela.
Here's a good example: Attention black SA: this is a time to get a driver's license. Don't worry. After #whitegenocide you can have any car you want. [Siyanda-Panda from: SiyandaWrites]
"It was provocative and subversive. I felt somewhat disconcerted. What did I do? I joined in."
Here's why:
"1. The hashtag was clearly tongue in cheek, and it was being used by a self-described agent provocateur who has a track record of challenging preconceived ideas, both in her Thought Leader blog and on Twitter.
"2. The mockery was not of actual murder (which is not funny), but the long-standing conspiracy theory that blacks would rise up against whites the moment Madiba dies. This is a ridiculous and stupid belief no matter how sincerely you hold it, and mocking it is a way of marking a distinction between what we accept as a commonly held belief, and what we do not.
"3. I felt that the conspiracy theory was in itself offensively racist, so should be mocked in order to make my views on it clear. Addressing fears that many might feel afraid to express was a way to bring them into the open into a way that was healthier than discussing them around the braai.
"4. If whites did not join in, then it would become and us vs them situation. Whites attend the Blacks Only comedy shows and laugh at David Kau's jokes, so why shouldn't they participate in a hashtag that mocks them?
"5. Genocide, used in its correct historical context (as in the Holocaust, Armenia and Rwanda) is not funny at all. But claims of genocide where they are not justified debase the term and the gravity of what it means. The former secretary-general of Medecins Sans Frontieres, Alain Destexhe, has said that the word genocide has fallen victim to "a sort of verbal inflation, in much the same way as happened with the word fascist".
"Most of those who participated used the opportunity to demonstrate how completely unfounded fears of a "white genocide" are."... END QUOTE
Dr Dan Roodt of PRAAG, the pro-Afrikaans Action Group, writes: "the Mail and Guardian thus has offered Ms Britten the opportunity to justify the genocide - after she herself had participated actively in the incitement of the genocide'.

A wave of violent terror has hit the Afrikaner working-class smallholdings in Pretoria North -- andd to add to their woes, the shacks at the Marinata Christian Care Centre for the Elderly at Plot 117, Alpha Lane, at Vastfontein, Pretoria (maps attached) also burned down. Everything these destitute people ever had was burnt in the fire and they literally now need everything. They were left only with the night-clothes they wore when they fled from the fire. At the moment, all the people made homeless in the shack-fires, (other sources said at least 30 shack-dwellings burnt down, the Record newspaper says eight shacks were lost, with 46 (!) people made homeless...) are living in the
church at Maranatha.
" A neighbour, Mrs Lydia Alberts, said 'nothing was left'. An eye witness said the police and ambulance were phoned at 02h50. They showed up at 03h50. The fire 'moved very rapidly from shack to shack, burning everything. People need blankets, mattresses, clothes. Two babies, both eight months old, have no milk bottles.
Children aged one to 11 have no clothes nor shoes left except those they wore when asleep.

MEANWHILE in a SEPERATE development, terrified Haakdoornboom smallholders even take baths with guns nearby it is being reported, with many of the Pretoria North smallholders under siege. A father and son Rudolph and Colin were shot and injured in afierce fight with gunmen on July 16 2013, writes Ryno Ellis of Die Rekord newspaper. "The residents of the smallholdings at Haaskdoornboom in Pretoria north are in the middle of an upsurge of violence targetting them.The working-class smallholders experience a 'drastic increase in violent house robberies,' said the Community Policing Forum-chairman Duan Engelbrecht."

RUDOLPH AND COLIN POTGIETER SHOT AND INJURED:

Mrs Alta Potgieter told Die Rekord that her husband Rudolph and son Colin were shot Monday 19h00 by two gunmen just outside their smallholding during a violent confrontation. The black gunmen ambushed and tied up the Afrikaner men - however Rudolph, fearing for the lives of his family, managed to get lose of his bonds and tried to push the gunmen away. Rudolph was then shot twice at point blank range: once in his left ear and once in his chest. Her son Rual then rushed to their -- (by law required to be locked up) gun from the gunsafe, rushed back and fired towards the gunmen - at which point they fired back, injuring the oldest son Colin in the chest. The two men now are at the academic hospital in Pretoria and after a week now are 'out of danger'
"My husband is in terrible pain and his eardrum has burnt but he can already get up and speak to me. My son has to get more scans before the doctors decide how to remove the bullet, which was lodged in his back'. "He's walking with difficulty because of the bullet.' Meanwhile Alta is terrified of remaining at the smallholding.
"We are too terrified to go outside, we cannot live normal lives, there have been so many armed attacks against the smallholdings.' SAPS warrant officer Mathews Nkoadi said nobody was arrested.

THIRTEEN HOME-OWNERS ATTACKED IN ARMED ROBBERIES IN JUNE: ONE MAN CRITICALLY SHOT, AIRLIFTED TO HOSPITAL
In June 2013 Die Rekord wrote that thirteen armed robberies were launched against smallholders at the Haakdoornboom within a two-week period during which a man was shot. Die Rekord reported that 'residents are so traumatised by the high level of violence than people are even taking baths with their guns at their side, just to feel safe'.

Man and dog survive violent robbery:
A 48-year old man and his dog allegedly sustained critical injuries during a shooting near Bon Accord on Friday.
Constable Singo from the SAPS confirmed that a house robbery on Haakdoringboom Road allegedly turned violent when the home owner tried to fight off the perpetrators.
The victim was allegedly shot in the back. According to the police, the home owner's dog was also shot in the leg and sustained critical injuries.
Singo said that three armed suspects fled the scene with various workshop tools and a bicycle. No arrests have been made.
"A case of house robbery and attempted murder has been opened and the police will continue with the investigation, " said Singo.
Santi Steinmann from Netcare confirmed that their helicopter was activated to airlift the man to a nearby medical facility.
The police also confirmed that the dog was rushed to a hospital in Onderstepoort.
