Unnecessarily brutal farm attack: Koster Road Rustenburg: On Sunday evening (8 Sept) at around 18h45, yet another unnecessary brutal farm attack occurred on a property located on the Koster road (about 10km after the Koster turn-off).
One of the victims, an elderly man, is currently in a local hospital, being treated for brain haemorrhage (bleeding of the brain). The five heavily armed attackers took turns kicking and hitting their four victims which included an elderly couple. With all the farm attacks in the vicinity over the past year, these people applied and followed stern security precautions. What they did not expect is that their farm watch radio would be sabotaged. Seconds after they have sent an SMS to their local farm-watch, they were overpowered. The elderly lady was even informed by one of the arrogant intruders, "I've been watching you for some time now."

On Sunday evening (8 Sept) at around 18h45, yet another unnecessary brutal farm attack occurred on a property located on the Koster road (about 10km after the Koster turn-off). The Platinum Weekly would not be disclosing the name of the property or that of the victims involved on request of the victims. Not only do they have to come to terms with the brutality off the attack, but they also feel vulnerable and exposed.

------------
An alert farm-watch member immediately suspected foul play because of the 'broken' radio connection and without delay contacted the elderly couple’s son and a fellow member to investigate. This action most probably saved four lives.

Farm attacks are big business, it’s a war zone and you have to know the rules of engagement to give you a fighting chance. The attackers fled as soon as the first member arrived on scene. He witnessed the suspects, heavily armed, and heard a vehicle picking them up. They fled the scene with cash, cellular phones and guns, some of which were found discarded along the way. Indications arouse the suspicion that inside-information was being used to orchestrate this well-planned and brutal attack.
We urge our community members staying on smallholdings and farms to take all the necessary precautions. Join a local farm watch.
You have to constantly try and stay one step ahead of those thinking it is their right to take your belongings and to torture or kill you in the process.
