Zulu land-grabbers threaten to kill farmer Peter Train of Howick – #AfriForum Esmarie Prinsloo reports 3 dec 2013: 'Afriforum had announced that farmers will get legal help after the violent occupation of a farm in the Howick area of KZN. Afriforum was approached by farmer Peter Train because the neighbouring Msomi-clan had cut the farmer's fencing for the umpteenth time and chased their livestock onto the farm. Mr and Mrs Train are living in a situation where they are getting frequent black-racist death threats from their neighbours. “This farm belongs to black people,' one of the Mosimi-youths warned the farmer before their latest occupation. Afriforum community-safety chief Ian Cameron was quoted as saying that 'Afriforum will organise farmers so that steps can be taken against these kind of irregularities, so that our farmers can continue to live in safe circumstances.' Male members of the Msomi-clan were arrested last Friday for deliberate destruction of private property after the armed men invaded the Train farm. Afriforum said the arrested blacks were released by the Howick police with a warning to appear in court on Monday 2 December 2013. However a day earlier two of the arrested Msomi men were back on the Train-farm together with four other black men, armed with knobkieries, fighting sticks and an axe. "Afriforum has urgently asked the State Prosecutor to look into this matter. All six accused were arrested again, and the case was postponed to 23 January 2014 'pending further investigation'. Meanwhile the Msomi men were released again with the warning to 'not make contact with the farmer until the case is dealt with in court', said Chris Fourie, Afriforum organizer in KZN. "The government is completely neglecting its duties as far as safety on farms is concerned. No real attempt is being made to protect farmers', said Cameron. http://www.afriforum.co.za/
