Eyewitness-News journalist Reinart Toerien launches criminal assault charge against Pres Zuma body guard: 19 Nov 2013 - Primedia spokeswoman Pippe Rowles confirmed the charge lodged by Toerien at the Norwood SAPS. Constable Ndivhuwo Mulamu said nobody has been arrested and the SAPS are investigating the incident. Toerien said in his complaint that he was assaulted on Monday Nov 18 2013 by one of the Zuma body guards outside ex-pres Nelson Mandela's home in Houghton Johannesburg where Zuma was visiting at the time. EWN reported that Toerien was standing outside on the sidewalk filming the Zuma convoy leaving the Mandela estate. One of Zuma's guards yelled 'voertsek' (Afrikaans curse used to chase off dogs) at him through his car window and slapped Toerien.
