Afrikaner woman Susan Prinsloo du Plessis, rescued from black male gang: looks on helplessly as cops are assaulted cruelly 10 September Middelburg Mpumalanga: Mrs Susan Prinsloo du Plessis looked on helplessly when three black men who had earlier tried to attack her in her car, brutally assaulted to police officers who came to her rescue in Middelburg. The two police officers - a man and a woman - had stopped when they saw Mrs Du Plessis inside her car - surrounded by black males to tried to get inside on Sunday. Middelburg Mpumalanga journalist Jana Boshoff reported that Mrs Du Plessis had made a u-turn to go back to the Spar supermarket because she had forgotten to buy something, when her car was surrounded by black men just as she was turning around. She locked her car-doors just in time. "The men were rattling the car-doors trying to get them open, and tried to break open my windows, she said. Her car was idling and she got so confused that her foot slid off the accellator and her car was stalled. And she also had difficulty grabbing her cellphone to call for help, she said. Just at that moment, a police patrol-car drove past. The thugs fled, but the cops, a man and a woman, chased one and dumped him inside the van, and then chased after the second man who had fled into a shop. Meanwhile the third thug had returned and tried to get his comrade freed from the police van. At which point a fisticuffs broke out between the two cops and the two suspects. Mrs Prinsloo du Plessis sat inside her car, helplessly watching how cruelly the police officers were being beaten by the gangsters. "Right through their faces, the arrogance of these criminals are astonishing. They were fearless, one would think they would run from the police but no, they came back and started a physical fight with these two cops. It was a terrible thing to watch. She was frozen with shock she said and her cellphone kept falling from her hands while she was watching the thugs beat up the cops. Shortly thereafter a bakkie appeared on the scene and this frightened her even more as two men jumped out with handguns. "I didn't know whether these were more criminals or the police, they stopped in the middle of the road'. Much to her relief, the two men were police in civilian clothing who rushed to help their uniformed colleagues arrest their assailants. http://www.looklocal.co.za/looklocal/content/en/middelburg/middelburg-news-crime?oid=7774404&sn=Detail&pid=4979897&Polisise-aangerand-voor-vrou
