South Africa 's municipalities delivered such poor service since 2004 that major protests and often very violent riots flared up, rising from TEN in 2004 to 185 by end Nov 2014.
And these municipal riots are going on TOP of other riots dealing with industrial disputes and party-political issues...
Every day there's at least two to three riots recorded somewhere in South Africa, and most of them are violent with many attacks against motorists who were unfortunate enough to not get out of the way fast enough.
But they don't call these violent events 'riots', they refer to them as 'protests'... Isn't the English language wonderful? Municipal IQ Hotspots Monitor charts http://www.municipaliq.co.za/
