Boer Gerhard Oros van der Walt stabbed with knife in face by black male attacker:
Thursday 27 November 2014 - Partime fartmer of Estancia near Ermelo Gerhard “Oros” van der Walt was
stabbed in his face, head and ear with a black male knifeman.
28 November 2014 HIghvelder reports:
Van der Walt was patrolling his farm and came across an unguarded fire. When he investigated a black male attacked him and stabbed him with his knife.
A black male suspect fled and was captured on the tarmac road between ERmelo and Hendrina with Van der Walt's bakkie-keys and some cash in his possession.
He was escorted to Breyten police station. His trial will take place in Ermelo court.
The farmer survived the attack and required treatment.
