Don't leave your child alone for a second in SouthAfrica with its KidnapGangs
WELKOM November 1 2014 - BEELD AFRIKAANS DAILY REPORTS: A "large black woman' tried to grab a shopping cart with an Afrikaans toddler in it, aged 16 months, while the child and his aunt were at a Welkom shopping mall. The entire incident was monitored on close circuit TV of the mall yet the SA police are not opening up any kind of investigation until 'the mother reports the incident personally to the police station,' reports Beeld daily newspaper.
he screamed at the woman to let go of the cart and hung onto it for dear life. Two other woman then rushed to help my sister and the woman left. Little Boeta sat in the cart, wide-eyed. Mrs Randall said the "very large black woman' was wearing a brown skirt, and a black headscarf with white stripes. "My sister isn't very large but she fought back. I am still emotional about what would have happened. What would have happened to him if the woman had grabbed him? I want to warn people to be aware at all times, especially in crowded places, and especially when you have a child with you. Goldsfields Mall manager Tanya Lloyd said they were very concerned about the kidnapping. We monitored the incident on the CCTV circuit and warned the SAPoliceService. Unfortunately such incidents take place daily in South Africa. Be aware and speak to your child so that you are aware at all times of where your child is. The SA Police said they aren't investigating unless the mother lodges a personal charge at the police station.
