Boer-Afrikaner groups start talks with ANC-officials over 'concept of autonomy for our people'
The Citizen reports July 25 2014 - the Boer-Afrikaners spoksman says it has a date with the government to discuss “self-determination for our own people in a peaceful way”.
According to chairman Andries Breytenbach, “We were a self-governing nation before 1902 and
then we lost our independence. We are a minority and have no influence on the political course South Africa is taking.”
The talks with leading ANC-officials would centre around the 'concept of autonomy for the Boer and Afrikaner minority in South africa, " they said.
