The community-policing forum was notified on Monday around 16h00 that the woman was missing when her dogs were spotted running around in different direcitons by two senior citizens from the local defence-force retirement home next to the Smuts museum. SAPS reservist Frans Esterhuyse, a member of the Lytteltoin Sector 3 CPF, said the two pensioners realized something was wrong when they saw the dogs; the woman frequently takes them for walks in the area. Three private rescue teams, and volunteers from the three local CPFs, members of the Wierda Bridge SAPS all started searching for the woman. And as the news spread, more community-members joined in. "We searched for a few hours in the woods but when it started getting dark, we withdrew to reorgnize the search effort, said Esterhuysen. "A security company also sent a helicopter to help search for her. Esterhuyse said around 21h00 he saw the woman walking down the hill, looking 'confused, traumatised and distressed'. She was rushed to the Unitas hospital. Lyttelton SAPS commander, warrant/officer Antoine Botha was unable to provide more information. http://www.looklocal.co.za/looklocal/content/en/centurion/centurion-news-general?oid=8136095&sn=Detail&pid=1345599&Gesoekte-vrou-bring-gemeenskap-bymekaar
