CPF-member Chris Lombard saves the lives of Rustenburg farmer and his wife: The couple Dawie (awaiting surname) and wife were attacked on their farm by black gunmen. The couple were beaten, dragged around the house and when the Citizen Policing Forum was alerted, reserve-officer Chris Lombard showed up and looked through the window. He noticed that the Afrikaner couple, who had been badly beaten, were on the point of being executed, with the gunmen pointing their guns at their heads. He rushed inside, making a lot of noise pretending to be many people, and the black gunmen ran away. There was an exchange of gunfire and Lombard shot and injured one of the gunmen. While he was chasing another one, the man turned around and stabbed Lombard, embedding the knife 8cm in his chest. He survived.
