Five young Afrikaners survive kidnap/robbery by four black gunmen near Lebombo-border post enroute to Inhambane Mozambique -- Annemarie Kramer 22, Freek Kloppers 21, De Wet Brandon 21, Walter Raap 20 and Michael Cleiton 20 hijacked 40km from Lebombo-border post by men with police-weapons:

Beeld journalist Elaine Swanepoel writes on Monday 23 Desember 2013 that the five young South Africans had just gone through the Lebombo border post in their Toyota Hilux-bakkie enroute to Raap's parental home in Tofo Inhambane when they were ambushed by four black gunmen driving a minibus who stopped them on the road. "One of the men brought out a police-firearm, others pointed a rifle at their driver Walter Raap, 20 and grabbed the vehicle's keys.
The black men shouted: “We want money, lots and lots of money. Give us everything you have." They took the young people's wallets and cellphones and emptied out Annemarie's handbag - and then body-searched all five to make sure they 'didn't hide any money'.
Annemarie was particularly upset becuse they even searched her under-garments, she said. The young people then were kidnapped by two of the gunmen. "We thought we were done for. The worst thoughts go through your head. I thought they'd gang-rape me and
then kill all of us,' said Annemarie. She started praying out loud while the blacks drove about a kilometre down the road with them - and then ordered the five young white people to run into the veld.
Annemarie wept as she tells how they threatened to shoot them dead 'if we dared to look back'. The five South Africans hid in the bush when they saw the same bus drive past them again back to the border. They waited for South African car and hailed it - fortunately it was a man with his family, who took them to a toll gate about 10km away.
There they called friends and waited for them to take them to the nearest police station - when the same robber-gang showed up and started chatting with the police officials at the toll-gates.
Kramer said: "I told the police man that those were the men who attacked us but he just laughed at me.' They were rescued from their plight when friends of Raap's parents showed up at 05h00 and took them to a guest house in Komatipoort.
The Mozambiquan police claim they are 'investigating the matter'. It's estimated that goods valued at around R250,000 were robbed: the bakkie alone is valued at another R400,000.
