The 6yo grandson of murdered Cookhouse farmer Jac Troskie chases off black killer-gang with .22- 13 Dec 2013 Somerset East. (sources: Boere Krisis Aksie and Algoa FM http://www.algoafm.co.za/article.aspx?id=8222) -- -- The SAPS confirmed that elderly farmer Jonathan Stefanus Troskie ("Jac") was murdered and his wife Idalette badly injured on their farm in the Cookhouse area around 10pm Thursday-evening Dec 12 2013. In addition, the Boere Krisis Aksie reported from their own local sources that "a group of black males ambushed the old farmer outside his homestead and shot him dead, then ran inside and shot down Mrs Idalette Troskie. The old couple were unarmed. However at that moment Andries' six-year-old son, rushed out with a .22 and started shooting at the attackers and the blacks fled, it was reported by the Boere Krisis Aksie group. "The grandchildren who were visiting their grandparents at the time alerted their father at about 10pm. He rushed over and found his dad murdered, his mom seriously injured and his children traumatized. Mrs Troskie was taken to the Andries Vosloo Hospital and transferred to a hospital in Port Elizabeth this morning. It is not known what her current condition is. -- Radio Algoa reports that SAPS Somerset East cluster commander Brigadier Madoda Zamkana has "condemned the murderous attack on the farming family. The SAPS will leave no stone unturned in bringing the perpetrators to justice, ' he reportedly said. The killer-gang fled with several firearms in the couple's Toyota Camry - however they abandoned the car and the firearms near the crime-scene. It's not known of any of them were injured by the six-year-old Boer boy's .22 bullets. http://www.algoafm.co.za/article.aspx?id=8222
