In Turffontein, South Africa, the blackened body of a baby boy (not a newborn) was found torched to death, dumped amongst a pile of rubbish in an alley. The map shows that the alley is located a block away from the Turffontein Musallah (mosque) and near the Christway Social Services Office.

A passer-by discovered the body of a baby boy, torched amongst a pile of rubbish in the service lane between Great Britain and Kennedy Streets, Turffontein, on Friday morning July 12.
=======================================
12 July 2013 Journalist: Lucky Thusi -- Elize Baker from Christway Religious and Social Services spoke to the man who made this gruesome discovery. “He came to me first as we are the closest to the service lane. He said I needed to come and help this child, which I thought maybe was lost.
"However, I was shocked at the scene. At first I thought it was just a doll but it was a baby, burnt and stuffed in the rubbish. I don’t understand why people do such horrific things.
I mean there are places where people can get help if they are troubled. There’s Door of Hope, Cotlands and us to name a few. This is painful, that boy was a human being.'
One resident said he doesn’t know whether he should thank Pikitup or not, because if they’d taken the rubbish the body of the baby wouldn’t have been found.
Ward 124 Clr Sydney Radebe, who was on the scene, commented, “The residents said Pikitup cleared the place on Monday, however, with this on-going dispute some of the bins were never collected. Someone emptied the bin here on this service lane with this body of the baby,” he said.
It is unclear whether the body was burnt at the scene or was burnt before it was dumped. We’ll keep readers updated and obtain a statement from SAPS as soon as possible.
