Female NW visitor to Africa Bike Week in Margate raped on beach:
April 29 2015 - A female visitor from North West Province, who was attending Africa Bike Week in Margate, was raped on Margate beach last Friday.
The SAPS reports that the woman was sitting on the beach by herself at about 11pm when she was approached by a black gunman demanding R10, said police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka.
“She told the man that she did not have money on her. He asked for her cellphone, to which the woman replied that she had left all her items at the holiday flat where she was staying,” said the captain. The
man forced the woman to undress and raped her. He fled 'taking only her biker jacket'. No arrest has yet been made and Margate Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit (FCS) unit is
