Port Elizabeth, 24 April 2015 - Robert Brewis was tied up, threatened with a knife and robbed in his home in Providentia in the early hours of Friday morning.
23 year-old Robert Brewis is a computer programmer in the city. He had been discharged from hospital two days earlier after a surgical procedure and says he battled to fall asleep last night.
Brewis told AlgoaFM new that he eventually fell asleep on the coach around 2am, only to be awakened about an hour later by three 'intruders.'
One of them held a knife to his throat and said, "if you scream you die."
The thugs then fled with household goods and are still at large. Brewis says he managed to alert the rest of his family and they locked themselves in the main bedroom until the police and private security company arrived
