With so many hundreds of thousands of Afrikaners made homeless and without any source of income because of the Black Economic Empowerment Act barring them from the SA job market, a battle to get them housed in government housing - and to get them government benefits - has also raged behind the scene for the past twenty years as their impoverishment has grown. The matter came to a head on July 19 2013 after an inaccurate report in The Times, claiming that '110 government houses were handed over to white Afrikaner squatters in Elandspoort, Pretoria North' by President Zuma'. This caused immediately and widespread anger in the black squatter community especially because the report claimed that the whites had been given preferential treatment, that their applications had been 'fast-tracked'. The report was inaccurate and the Zuma government spokesman hastened to correct the report the next day -- to prevent violence against poor whites in the region. A government official noted that' only FIFTEEN (NOTE: another housing dept source said ELEVEN) of these 110 houses had been handed to 'poor whites', and the rest were given to 'people of other races'. -------- ETHNIC CLEANSING CAMPAIGN AGAINST POOR AFRIKANER WHITES AND COLOURED PEOPLE LIVING IN PUBLIC HOUSING: -------- Boksburg/Benoni: ANC-CADRES threaten, harass and put pressure on poor Afrikaner whites to move out of apartheid-era council houses they have lived in for years... Meanwhile in Boksburg/Benoni, white and coloured Afrikaners who have applied for public housing for many years, and in dismal living conditons, finally may get justice after local government officials are being investigated for housing fraud. This was announced by the Freedom Front Plus party, which is the only political party with representatives in parliament which represents the Afrikaner community. ( contact: Adv. Anton Alberts: VF Plus-LP 0861 700 700 Kol. Piet Uys info@vf.co.za http://www.vf.co.za_. The Freedom Front said in a press statement that 'the metro-council will formally start transferring government-housing to needy white and brown Afrikaners. The Freedom Front has been clamouring for this for years - in fact we have been involved in this fight since 2007 and have constantly put pressure on the council to transfer council-flats and homes to the present occupants (the whites and coloureds). The metro council had until now ignored our call, said adv. Anton Alberts. He said its local FFplus councillors Hennie van der Walt and Wiebe Schultz 'were instrumental in the pressure placed on the metro-council. They also wrote to the council in March 2012 to alert the Speaker of the metrocouncil to an illegal removal of an Afrikaner resident from her council-home. "The party will see to it that this matter and others will also be raised during the transfer-ceremony.'There still are very many irregular reallocation of housing and intimidation of Afrikaner residents to move out of their council-flats to make way for black ANC-cadre- families. These cases will have to be addressed. If these are not we are still considering referring these illegal matters to the National Prosecuting Authority to lodge criminal charges if those families who were already driven from their homes fail to get occupation-rights on the metro-homes they had lived in when they were intimidated and threatened into moving away. We intend to take legal action against the Johannesburg metro council on behalf of all the residents in metro-housing who have already been waiting since the year 2000 to get the houses transferred into their names. Various cases of 'irregularity' are being investigated already by the Public Prosecutor.' http://www.vf.co.za
