Disabled pensioner hijacked in wheelchair at Brakpan Mall 9 March 2015 pagegrab
Black knifeman 23 arrested when he hijacked an elderly disabled man at knife point at the Mall At Carnival in Brakpan.
Capt Joep Joubert of the brakpan police said the old man was hijacked of his white VW Polo after he threatened the disabled pensioner with a knife.
The Herald wrote that members of the community stopped the vehicle, pulled the keys from the ignition and tried to arrest the suspect. This didn't work but security guards pursued the thug and handed him over to the police.
