Thanks for saving my mother's life writes Franco Forleo of Parkhurst: "On 12th July at about 10am, my 82-year-old mother was attacked by an intruder at her home in 6th street Parkhurst.She was beaten to an inch of her life and left bleeding while the intruder ransacked the house. Were it not for the quick thinking petrol pump attendants at the Shell Garage who noticed the intruder entering the premises and then the curtains constantly moving, my mother would have lost her life.I wish to thank Ros of the Parkhurst garage and Nicky of Alphabet Soup, who were absolutely amazing in keeping my mother alive until the arrival of the paramedics. To Cathy Cohen for contacting me so quickly and to Core Tactical and the Parkview police for apprehending the intruder. A big thank you to the medical staff at Milpark hospital for stabilising my mother so quickly. Thank you to the fine lady who liaised with me at the hospital and not only kept me informed, but who also took my personal feelings into account. My faith in the human race has been restored after such care was shown by all. I hope that the justice system holds up and that this lunatic is charged with attempted murder and put away for a very long time."
