Volksblad reports that the South African Police are still searching for the five gunmen. (PAGE GRAB ATTACHED) ====================== Farmer Freddie Tolman 52 of Mossel Bay. December 16 2014. Just 12 hours after pig-farmer Freddie Tolman, 52, told his wife he 'prefers to stay in South Africa rather than go to Australia 'because he knows what to expect here', he was shot dead in a carefully-laid trap by five black gunmen. Tolman also owned an abattoir at his farm Outeniquabosch some 5km from Hartenbos. He was found shot dead in his bakkie. His wife Marian said the couple were watching the TV-news about the muslim-hostage situation in Australia when he made the comment. Police Captain Malcolm Pojie, confirmed to Die Burger daily Afrikaans newspaper that Tolman was lured by five (*black - confirmed) attackers into a trap between 06h00 and 06h30 am while he was enroute to fetch his workers. A large tree-stump was placed in the road. Tolman did not stop but continued driving while the five gunmen fired shots. Tolman continued driving until he reached the tarmac road intersection to Hartenbos - where he was found dead, still seated upright. Then two of the gunmen threatened passersby who were driving in a Chev Avio and had stopped at the farmer's bakkie to investigate. The two bashed in the driver's window, pulled the people out of the Chev Avio and threatened them at gunpoint. Then the fled with the other 3 comrades who had been hiding in the veld. The threatened people remained unharmed. The car was found abandoned near Dana Bay. Marian said her husband fetched workers at the same time each morning and when she heard a shot being fired she went to the living room. The dogs were restless and she returned to her bedroom, shortly thereafter the housekeeper informed her that "A group of men were chasing her husband'. She called in one of her sons Eugene. He said 'My dad drove off the road with people chasing him. I grabbed my firearm and rushed to the scene. I found my dad seated in the vehicle. He was already dead." There was a bullet-hole in the front window but the son did not see any obvious entry wound on his dad at first glance. He expressed the idea to Die Burger that his dad may have died of a heart-attack. The police found spent gun-cartridges at the scene. The police-forensic examination will determine the cause of the farmer's death. https://www.facebook.com/boerekrisisaksie/photos/a.178568022169751.48293.116298045063416/1047792148580663/?type=1&theater Murder: Freddie Tolman, Mossel Bay WC farmer, lured into trap by six black males, shot dead at his farm-gate on the Brandwag Road just outside Hartenbos Volgens berigte is Freddie Tolman, bekende boer van Mosselbaai, vanoggend by sy plaashek op die Brandwag-pad net buite Hartenbos in 'n lokval gelei deur 6 kapers en doodgeskiet.
