Selection Park, Springs families attacked by four black male hijackers: baby thrown on pavement amidst shots being fired: father shot in shoulder
Louis Hennings reports to Boere Krisis Aksie - 16 January 2015
Attempted murder and attempted hijacking earlier tonight in Selection Park Springs.
2 older shaped Jettas parked next to each other in a driveway. 4 black male Hijackers in a white Ford Fiesta or Focus arrive and a suspect ( rasta hair with a beanie)
point the driver of the first car. His family is with him in the car and he slap the gun away and decide to make a run for it.
As he sped off the hijacker fired two shot at him and the car is hit once but nobody is injured.
In the second car a young father is sitting with his baby in the back of the car waiting for other members of his family.
A second hijacker jump in their car and start it. While he is battling to get the car in reverse the father jumps out and start pleading for them to leave the baby.
The armed hijacker take the baby in his carchair and throws it on the pavement. The father dive on his baby to shield him from gunfire and the getaway vehicle sped of with the
3 remaining suspects. Leaving the other (unarmed hijacker) behind while he is still battling ro get the car in reverse.
The father and owner of the vehicle see his opportunity and first tried to break the side windows with his fists. No window broke ... then he tried the door handle and find that the doors
are still unlocked. He get into the car with the hijacker and became involved in a scuffle.
He pulls up the handbrake while fighting with the jacker. 3 houses further the car makes a handbrake turn onto the pavement and came to a standstill against a gate.
Now the getaway car return to come and assist their unarmed and by this time passed out comrade.
Another neighbour and his young son about 10 years old runs to his gate to see what is happening.
With his boy standing next to him the armed rasta fired two shots at him. One shot hits the palisade and ricochet hitting the father in his shoulder.
Then rasta man runs to his passed out friend but then decide to leave him behind.
They came back a second time but by then there where too many neighbours and CPF gathered and they decide to flee.
The owner of the vehicle return to his car and pulls out the passed out criminal and hand him over to the responding Selpark CPF.
Shortly there after SAPS arrived. 3 of the 4 emptied cartridge casings where recovered .
The shot father is stable and thank goodness both children are unharmed
