UPDATE: Murder: Mrs Coetzee, sexton at Dutch Reformed Church in Karatara, Knysna: A 30-year coloured man identified as Renier Hartzenberg was remanded into police custody and ordered to return to Knysna Magistrate's court on 29 January 2015.
He is the only suspect in the unmotivated murder of Mrs Coetzee, the 68-year-old sexton of the Dutch Reformed Church
in Karatara, Knysna. She was- bludgeoned to death at her home. There is no mention in the police report that anything that anything was 'robbed'.

Police captain Malcolm Pojie, says Renier Hartzenberg (a local coloured man) was remanded in police custody for further investigation.
He said earlier that the woman - (identified by the local Afrikaner community as Mrs Coetzee) was found murdered in her home in Karatara over the weekend after neighbours became suspicious of her whereabouts.
She had been killed by a blow or blows to the head.

ALSO: critical in hospital: elderly Afrikaner couple, Reebok Great Brak Rivier holiday home: - An elderly white couple from Reebok in Great Brak River has been admitted to Bayview, Mossel Bay Bay Hospital after they were assaulted in their holiday home by 3 black males in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The 65-year-old woman and her 70-year-old husband, were overpowered by three armed men at around 3am while asleep.
Their hands were tied with a telephone cord, BEFORE they were assaulted. The suspects demanded keys for the safe while repeatedly hitting the victims with a pistol and a stick.
A patrolling vehicle from the Great Brak River Police Station drove past the house while they were patrolling the street.
However said Sergeant Chantel Marais the police members were unaware of what was happening inside but the " suspects got a fright and fled through a living room window."
The victims are in a critical condition in the Bayview Hospital.
The three suspects are still at large
