Farm Attack - not known if anything was robbed: attempt at torture -- Carletonville SouthAfrica Mrs Kate Roothman 66 and sister Eliza were attacked on 27 Nov 2014 early morning at the Leeupan smallholdings: Three black gunmen ambushed the elderly women when they stepped outside to go to town.
The Afrikaner women were taken back inside at rifle-point, tied up and attempts were made to torture them with boiling water -- but 'the kettle didn't boil long enough'. Their houseworker also was tied up and beaten.
We are awaiting more details about their current situation, how they were rescued and whether anything was actually 'robbed'.
