POTCHEFSTROOM. The white Christian student was kidnapped on Nov 9 2014 when he was walking home from church, at the corner of Meyer- and Dwars Streets by four black males.
The student wants to remain anonymous. He said a white Nissan bakkie drove up to him and bumped him lightly, just hard enough for him to fall.
He wasn't seriously injured, he said. Four males jumped from the bakkie and forced him inside. They took him to a house in town - keeping his eyes closed as they drove up to the house.
"It wasn't very far away from where they ran be down,' he said.
He said that the four men tried to rape him at the house.
However because they did not have any weapons he was able to fight off their attempts.
"They were never able to undress me completely.'
He said "I would rather die than drop this case. The fact that they didn't have weapons gave me the courage to keep fighting them.'
Then the four took him to a canal near the Vanderhof Park PickNPay supermarket - where they shoved his head into the water.
"Just as he thought all the oxygen was drained from his lungs, they would lift my head up again so that I could breathe again'.
“After a while they stopped this and said: "now we are going to take you to the boss. You’re going to be our sex toy tonight.’
“Here I realized I had to make a plan to get away." He jumped from the moving bakkie, landed on the tarmac road and started screaming loudly.
"The bakkie first stopped but when I screamed they drove off. I went to the first house with a doorbell: those people helped me and I was taken to hospital,' he said.
SAPS captain Chaka Mvula, confirmed that the student was found in Strauss avenue and taken to mediclinic Potchefstroom.
He tore a ligament in a shoulder when he jumped from the bakkie.
The student said he didn't know the reason for the attack on him: but felt that 'for them it was a game. One of the men smelled of marijuana. They spoke of drugs they still had to
deliver. "Three spoke a language which I did not understand, it sounded like Portuguese, but it definitely was not an Africa-language.
Captain Mvula said the police have opened dockets for kidnapping and attempted murder.
