Murder: Rose Dowdle (86) raped and murdered 19 September in Craighall Park Randburg smallholding: leaves behind 30 feral cats.
Octber 3 2014 - Mrs Dowdle's grandson Bradley Stephenson's girlfriend Kathryn McConnachie said the cats were the old lady's life.
The couple now work closely with the Santon Animal Welfare Association and the National Cat Action Taskforce (NCat) to help catch Ms Dowdle's cats on the smallholding and find homes for them. They've already taken in seven cats.
"The cats are feral. If you have that many cats you don't have contacts with your cats each day.
Ms Scorer said this was 'the THIRD incident this year: in one case a woman had more than 25 dogs at her properly,
and another incident a woman bred rats - and it got out of control. It's a heartbreaking situation.
