Gordon o Boere Krisis Aksie writes: September 19 2014: Three attacks today in Dunnottar alone. I receive the emergency call at 20h19: my friend is being shot at and the neighbour was injured. I contact the rest of the Brandwag and rush to the scene. We find that Aunt Elma had stepped outside to feed the chickens and while she's outside two black young gunmen attack Uncle Tjaart in the kitchen. He's old and struggles to walk with a stick. He is shot twice without warning: one bullet enters his chest near his heart and the other one his leg. Aunt Elma starts screaming. Pieter's son Schalk who was outside hears her, runs to the fence to find out what's going on, sees the blacks and yells for his dad Pieter. The blacks see Schalk and start shooting at him. Pieter storms out of the house and without thinking jumps across the fence to help his neighbour. Three shots are fired at him but fortunately they all missed him. The blacks flee down the road. Pieter stabilises Uncle Tjaart and we wait for the police and ambulance. While paramedics are working on uncle Tjaart, another call comes through: a person was shot in the same street further down. We rush to the house: a black child in shock explains 'the people are inside.' The police and I search the house but find no-one. We find out that his uncle had stood outside, chatting to another person, when two gunmen stormed towards them, shooting his uncle twice - one bullet struck him in the head. He was rushed to hospital by his aunt.'

(Gordon) Drie aanvalle vandag in Dunnottar alleen. Ek ontvang nood oproep 20h19. Daar word op my vriend geskiet en die buurman is raakgeskiet. Dadelik kontak ek die res vd brandwag en jaag uit. Tannie Elma het uit die huis gegaan om die hoenders te versorg. Terwyl sy uit is val twee jong swart mans oom Tjaart in die kombuis aan. Hy sukkel om te loop en gebruik n kierie. Hy word twee keer geskiet sonder waarskuwing,een in sy bors naby sy hart en ander een in sy been. Tannie Elma begin gil en Pieter se seun, Schalk wat op die stadium buite was, hoor die gil en hardloop na die heining om te kyk wat gaan aan. Hy sien die swartes en gil vir sy pa, Pieter. Die swartes sien Schalk en begin op hom skiet. Pieter storm die huis uit en en sonder om te dink, spring oor die heining om sy buurman te help. Daar word drie skote na hom gevuur. Gelukkig is dit mis. Die swartes hardloop die straat af. Pieter stabaliseer oom Tjaart en ons wag vir polisie en ambulaans om op te daag. Terwyl paramedic besig met oom Tjaart is, kom n oproep deur, n persoon is geskiet die straat verder af. Ons jaag soontoe. n Swart kind in skok verduidelik die mense is in die huis, wel so dink ons. Ek en die polisie, gewapen, deursoek die huis. Niemand daar. Ons vind uit sy oom het buite gestaan en gesels met n ander persoon toe die twee op hul afstorm en sy oom twee keer skiet waarvan een koel hom in die kop tref. Die seun se tannie het met sy oom hospitaal toe gejaag.
