The Afrikaner youth has undergone three emergency operations at Milpark hospital: horribly injured after he was besieged by 20 blacks who plucked him around by his broken arm. He suffered a crushed pancreas, a torn liver, six broken ribs, injured legs and a severely mangled arm.
To make matters still worse, then the citizen-policing-forum volunteers who arrived on the scene very quickly, had to fight off the black mob, stopping them from attacking the emergency helicopter which took the youth to Millpark Hospital. All this was happening while several black cops sat well away and just watched, witnesses said.
In January 2014, the youngster saw his dad Hennie Wagner (47) shot dead by black attackers inside their home...
Krugersdorp Friday 6 September 2014: Quinton Wagner whose dad was shot dead in front of him by blacks at home, is fighting for his life in the trauma unit of the Milpark Hospital, Johannesburg
He was riding his motorbike Friday 12h00 in Krugersdorp when he was rear-ended by a bakkie.
And some 20 blacks waiting at a taxi-stand nearby grabbed the bleeding, injured white youth, plucked him around 'like a rag' according to bystanders, and into the nearby bushes.
There he was viciously assaulted while they ripped off his backpack and even his shoes.
The hate-crime victim has already been operated on three times in the ongoing fight to save his life. He's on a breathing apparatus,
he has blood in his lungs, a torn liver and six ribs, his right arm and shoulder-bone are broken, his pancreas are damaged
and his legs are injured.
The horrific assault was witnessed by local businessman Lionel Henemann.
He said that the young victim's right arm was so badly injured that the bone stuck through his shirt.
"That didn't deter the robbers. They dragged him into the bushes by his broken arm'.
He said the bakkie was driven by one of his clients, who was enroute to his business. "He ran into the youth and
immediately called me to come and help. "My friend and I were nearby and immediate rushed to the scene. We could not believe our eyes.
"We saw the mob dragging the boy by his arms. When we jumped from my bakkie, the mob descended on us too.
They ripped the boy's helmet from his head. He was lying on his backpack. They plucked him around like a piece of rag to get their hands on it.
They fought amongst each other to rip off his shoes,' said Henemann.
Henemann said when he tried to reach the victim the mob held him down.
They robbed his and his client's wallet and cellphone. Eye witness Wayne Boyder who was with Henemann said the
Krugersdorp community-policing forum intervened quickly.
"The GPF arrived and chased the mob away. They contacted the cops but only one van showed up.
Other police vehicles simply kept driving past us.
"The GPF then blocked off the road so that the emergency helicopter could land - and when they tried to land
the mob descended on the chopper too. The GPF put up a fierce battle to keep the mob at bay while two (black) cops just sat on one side and watched.
They would not even take statements,' he said.
The youth's mom Monique Wagner said on Monday evening that 2014 has been a terrible year for her, first her husband murdered
in January: gunned down in front of her son "I hope and pray that my child survives the nightmare. It's only by God's good grace...' she said.
The police was contacted and the 'official spokesman warrant officer Solomon Sibiya said he 'couldn't comment because 'nobody had told him of the incident'.
