"I am the daughter of Rensca van Greuning. My mother was found dead on plot 73 in Leeuwfontein, along the Malotto Road.
(on the night of Aug 3 - 4 2014). Martins Funeral Home said that 'her hands were horribly burnt, and her face was cut away: one eye is missing and the other eye's pupil is partially missing. The SAPS in Cullinan did not examine the death-scene. We were provided a death certificate but our mother was not examined by a (POLICE) coroner and the murder-scene was not investigated. My son had to break open the door to get to his grandmother's body: the police refused to do it. When my son picked her up he was shocked to discover that her face had been cut away. I believe that there are two main suspects, and the residents at the smallholding said that they had seen my mother 'in an argument with one of these men'.
- Nothing was robbed, nothing was removed from the house, not one key is missing: and everything was intact - except the new testament which she had drawn up just recently. That's missing.She was murdered by someone she knew, a friend or a family member. "
* The victim's 'severe facial injuries' were mentioned in the funeral undertaker's notes. She was buried on August 15 2014.
