two black males shot him 3x through the back of the head puncturing his wind-pipe and shattering his jaw- , and one man stabbed her and bit her face:
Journalist Christaan Cloete reports 18 august 2014 that the Britz farm couple were mauled by the attackers at around 17h00 on their farm Leeufontein along R45 between Vereeniging and Villiers at Grootvlei.
On Sunday the couple were in their bakkie to check the sheep when they stopped to close a farm gate - and were ambushed by the two black males, reportedly in their early twenties.
SAPS warrant officer André van der Lith said the couple were first threatened with a screwdriver, one man stabbing Hannatjie and also biting her in the face.
The other man struggled with George and managed to grab his 9mm pistol and his car-keys. Then George was forced at gunpoint to drive his bakkie to their homestead.
A family member said George was shot twice through his windpipe and once into his jaw and is in the intensive care unit of the Netcare private Union Hospital in Alberton.
