Impoverished homeless Afrikaner man, Jaap Goosen, bludgeoned with baton by security guard at #KentuckyFriedChicken #KFC Warmbaths, #SouthAfrica:
reports journalist Justin Steyn on 8 August 2014.
Warmbaths, South Africa. (renamed to 'BelaBela' by ANC-regime).
A Kentucky Fried Chicken customer told local journalist Justin Steyn that he saw a security guard beat up a homeless Afrikaner man on the sidewalk of KFC at Warmbaths.
The witness saw the attack against a defenceless old man on Saturday 2 August when he was buying takeaways. The eyewitness prefers to remain anonymous. The journalist photographed the bruises sustained by Goosen
and interviewed the victim.
The witness said: "I was buying lunch at KFC and a homeless man was walking on that side of the street. The man wasn't bothering any of the customers.
Suddenly the man was confronted by a security guard on duty (at KFC) which battered the defenceless man with bat - bashing him so hard that the guard's radio fell from its holster'.
I was thoroughly shocked by the incident and confronted the security guard about it,' the witness reportedly told Justin Steyn.
The female customer ws told by the guard that 'he merely shoved the bum away from the area, and that he went to fetch his baton to 'remove the man from KFC premises'.
The guard reportedly also told the victim that 'he did not assault the bum but merely pushed him off the property.'
Said the witness: "I suspect that this attacked was pre-planned'.
Jaap Goosen said he was assaulted without being asked to leave the area. "I was not approached by any of the guards - I was simply suddenly attacked
without any advance warning." He sustained injuries from the beating with the baton to his head, back and shoulders.
The witness went with Goosen to the Warmbaths police station - however was told that Goosen first had to be examined by a doctor.
The witness then drove Mr Goosen to the Warmbaths public hospital. The man was weak with hunger however and couldn't wait the long hours to be examined.
He told the journalist that 'a great fear overwhelmed him' after the beating and that he planned to try and get to Thabazimbi, as he was fearing for his life if he stayed in Warmbaths.
Willem Mostert of the KFC 's contracted security group, Bateleur Sekurity, denied that any assault took place on Goosen and that 'he was often asked to leave the premises'.
"Our guard merely asked him to leave the area," insisted . We are constantly plagued with homeless people who make a nuisance of themselves and bother customers".
There was no comment from KFC.
