A third Glenvista Alberton couple gunned down, critical after four gunmen stormed in, guns blazing: Sat 19h00 - SAPS Mondeor are mystified by the latest motiveless attack by 4 gunmen who gunned down a couple in their home. One of the victims reportedly shot back. (*reported by SAPS warrant officer Xoli Mbele and by Michele Pelser email sector2forum@gmail.com tel 084 2929144 of the Mondeor Community Policing Forum (South of Johannesburg). Nothing is known about the couple: Mbele said 'due to reasons related to the investigation the victims cannot be identified. The motive for the attack is unknown.'The four attackers shot the couple 'several times' and they are in a critical condition in an unnamed hospital. Michelle Pelser of the Mondeor CPF said the couple's teenaged son also was inside and rushed upstairs to fetch his father's firearm from the upper-story of the house to use in self-defence. "At this stage we do not know if the teenager or the father shot back at the attackers. The son was not injured.' However Mbele did confirm that one of the victims did shoot at the four attackers. Nothing was robbed.
